Christy's passion for supporting families began in 2012 when she became a certified birth and postpartum doula. To better assist parents through lactation and postpartum challenges, she furthered her education in 2016 to become a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
Believing that postpartum preparation should start during pregnancy, she founded Postpartum Roots in 2022. Her mission is to help expectant families broaden their perspective on pregnancy/birth and plan thoughtfully for life beyond the birthday!
Postpartum Roots was founded in 2022 from Christy’s deep passion for supporting mamas through the postpartum season—a passion shaped by her own difficult postpartum experiences.
She believes every woman deserves trusted, expert guidance for pregnancy, birth, and life after baby. Through evidence-based, practical education and solutions, Christy helps parents prepare during pregnancy so they can feel supported, confident, and equipped to thrive postpartum.
